For promoting travels and tourism in the country,the Myanmar government tried to ease  visa processing for the foreign visitors. You can easily obtain Myanmar visa from the Consulate or Embassy in your country.It is useful to know that there are two types of entry visa, i.e EVT VISA and PACKAGE TOUR VISA.
 
EVT VISA - Travelers can easily get this type of visa by applying directly to the Myanmar Consulate or Embassy in any country. Now EVT VISA do not have to exchange US$ 200 upon arrival a minimun of USD 200 per person or equivalent with Foreign Exchange Certificate 200 Unit ( called FEC ).
 
PACKAGE TOUR VISA - This type of  visa is given to those travellers that have a booked a package tour to Myanmar. You do not have to exchange US$ 200 upon arrival also!
 
A valid passport with entry visa is required for all vistors. A tourist visa allows a stay of 28 days extendable for an additional 14 days. A business visa allows a stay of 10 weeks, extendable up to 12 months on case-by-case basis. Visa on Arrival is granted on prior agreement with the Ministry of Hotel and Tourism. Children over seven years of age require a separate visa even traveling on parent’s passport.

 

Package Tour Visa is issued on receving a letter of invitation from a tour company. Over  land entry is permitted to Chinesse tourists with border pass, and for third party tourists with package tour visa at Lwejie, Nam Cham, Muse, Kyukoke, Mailor long Myanmar-China border.

 

Third party tourists are required to be picked up at the border check points by their tour operators.
 
GOOD NEWS : Now you can obtain Myanmar Visa upon arrival at Yangon Airport with a visa pre-approval letter, in case you have no sufficient time to get visa stamp through the Myanmar Embassy prior to arrival.

We will fax a recommendation letter - one copy to the Myanmar Embassy in your country, and another copy to you.Submit this copy together with your original passport and 3 photos to the Myanmar Embassy in your country,and you will have to pay US$ 15-20 per person depending on country for your package tour Visa.
