Formula regarding changes of weight due to moisture content
Weight loss percentage of paddy = mi-mf/100-mf x 100
mi = percentage of original moisture content
mf= percentage of final moisture content
eg. In case original moisture content is 17% and final moisture content is 15%
Weight loss percentage for 100 paddy basket will be = 17-15/100-15 x100 = 2.35%
Glossary terms in rice milling
(1) OM = Own Milling / Over Milling
(2) SLM = Slightly low Milling
(3) LM = Low milling
(4) VLM = Very Low milling
(5) T.L = Tolerance limit
(6) R.L = Rejection limit
(7) F.A.Q = Fair Average quality (Meet the specified standard as for country wise, respective region-wise and season wise)
(8) Non F.A.Q = Not fair Average Quality (Not meet the specified standard but some can be upgraded with reprocessing)
(9) Un- Shippable = Not shippable (Not meet the specified standard presently. But some may be upgraded with reprocessing)
